Tonya Huskins This is a picture of my mother. I didn’t know she was born here until I was telling my daddy we was coming down here, and she said, “By the way, she was born there.”

So, but all my life, I was told about my youngest aunt. And the fact that when she was really young, she had fell and cut her foot, and that it got really bad infected, And that they were worried she was going to lose her foot. And my grandfather put her on his shoulders and walked for miles to bring her down here and get the doctor to doctor her foot. And that the doctors down here saved her foot, and that they were, you know, so worried that she was going to lose it, and you know that they were so happy and elated that the doctors down here had saved her foot.

It’s, you know, crazy to think about all these years later. I’m down here, and it’s just, you know, strange coincidences, you know, that we finally get here these years later, and find ou it’s the same hospital my mother was born at. Same hospital my mother-in-law was born at. But that’s it.
