And, you know what? I can say I never did go to bed hungry. My mama, we had a boys’ room. We all slept in one room, and we had iron bedsteads, like the army. And that room, all us boys slept in there. But you know, my mother wouldn’t go to bed till she’d say, “Boys, are you boys all warm? Do you need any more cover?” And she always checked on us boys. Now I had one sister, and she slept with mother. Yeah, in another room, but we- had that way of life, and I’m not shamed I was raised that way. Matter of fact, I’m glad, I’m fortunate that I had a family like that. We looked out after each other, and we still do. Yeah, I’ve got, one brother that’s past. Then I got one brother next to him. His wife’s passed, but us boys is still, and three of them still lives over there on Jack’s Creek on Bird Branch, on Jack’s Creek.
