Halloween Night

Gathering:

Prompt: What was it like to grow up in Rushville?

The only other story I have is kind of a unique story.

So, when we were in high school, we would always go out on Halloween. Halloween night. And we’d, you might say, just really raised hell. We’d throw eggs. There were the big tanks at the end of the street, which were watering tanks for cattle, and so we’d get all those tanks, and we’d take them down with the hardware. We’d roll them down the street, and it was good clean fun.

But we had to play a football game on a Friday night, which was going to be Halloween, so we decided to do it a day early. And so we did it on Thursday, and so then all the firemen and all the cops and everybody would come chasing kids everywhere. Oh, and it was just one of those things, but it was a tradition that you did. Nothing too too bad, but it was quite a tradition. And we surprised everybody by having Halloween a day early and raising hell.
