About the Artist

Nicole Marroquin (b. 1970) is an artist whose work explores spatial justice, belonging, and Midwest histories while addressing displacement and erasure. A 2022 United States Artist Fellow and member of Justseeds and Chicago ACT, she uses research and creative practice to recover histories of Black and brown youth and women’s leadership in struggles for self-determination.
